Pilsdon Pen
Although not the highest hill in Dorset, at 277m , from Pilsdon Pen you can enjoy one of the best (and windiest) view of Dorset. It is an Iron Age hillfort which it is thought to have been abandoned after the Roman conquest like other hill-forts in Dorset. Excavations have been carried out in the early '60s and from 1964 to 1971 it was excavated regularly every summer.
