This is a drawing of the bow-string arch bridge that will pass over the River Brit.

The bridge will be constructed in square hollow section steel, with all welded construction.

The deck will be in pre-cast concrete planks with an insitu concrete topping. The bridge will bear on header beams bearing on circular hollow section steel columns. The columns will be bolted to reinforced concrete ground beams supported on piles taken down through the alluvial deposits of the Brit Valley.
