An outage occurred today across the whole network today when a server at Elworthy locked up.

This was caused by the extreme weather at the site inducing power problems.

We were able to fix the problem by using a "work around" that was in place for just such a circumstance. This fix is a quite complex configuration that takes time to implement properly

Things are now back to normal but we are monitoring the situation closely

We are receiving a large abount of virus/spam attacks at the moment  over a million a day.

This means that we have had to close the firewalls to all outside traffic entering the network.

It would also be a good time to make sure that your Internet Virus & Firewall protection is up to date.
