Frequently Asked Questions > Coverage > What can I do to reduce the Install cost

Search the FAQ for entries containing:

When we are doing an installation, our quotes are generally at cost, so we have very limited flexibility to do an install any cheaper. There are a number of ways you can reduce costs:

  • Are there any other people who need broadband in your area - if so, then costs can be shared
  • Is there a social or economic reason you should have broadband - if so, there may be a grant or some kind of government assistance available to you
  • Is your location geographically strategic for us - if so, we will put you into our deployment plan & there is a good chance we will be able to get service to you at sometime in the future

Whatever the case, the Government is committed to getting broadband to 100% of the population, so if you cannot get broadband, & our install costs are too high, we will work together with you, to lobby the local politicians to make it happen.
