Most ISPs only allow their customers to send email out via their (the ISP's) email servers. Normally anyone who is not a customer of an ISP will be prevented from sending out email - this is a common anti-spam technique. This can be extremely inconvenient if you are trying to send email out NOT using your ISPs connection. The sort of situation where this would happen, would be if you go away on holiday & try and send email out via a cybercafe.
To get around this restriction we allow our customers to send email when connecting using other ISPs. When you d this you will be prompted for your username & password.
